Grief, Loss and Bereavement Counselling therapy can help make sense of what has happened and the changes it has brought, together with the many complex emotions and experiences attached to it, which can continue for any amount of time. Sensitive expert support and guidance alongside allowing yourself to address your feelings, can help avoid distressing isolation, possible complications in grief, as well as help with the worry of practical matters and your daily life functioning. There is no typical grieving experience, it is experienced in a unique way by all of us as an individual. Your experience may not be linear in the stages of grief, but therapy support can provide you with a light of hope for your future vision ahead.
A counselling session is typically 50-60 minutes. An extended 90 minutes can be beneficial for a first sessions when there is much to bring to this initial meeting and provides a good basis to start from, or on occasions, it can be good time spent for a one-off session. Your individual preferences can be discussed in your Initial Consultation to make your counselling sessions tailor made for your needs.
Everyone has different issues, needs, and goals, so as a unique individual the number of sessions you will benefit from will vary. For example, 4-6 sessions are usual to work with mild to moderate issues, however, every client situation requires an individual therapeutic approach and timescale, which benefits from ongoing review during therapy.
Having sessions regularly on a weekly basis is often suggested to gain maximum benefit, depending on your personal circumstances, preferencs and affordability. Follow-up sessions are helpful at longer intervals as you require for continued support, review of progress, or personal development work.
Our Life Therapy Centre Swansea Premises are (Maps) chosen for their suitability to provide clients privacy and comfort within professional surroundings.
Your therapist can help you to quickly set up your preferred video-calling platform such as WhatsApp or Zoom ready to use for your sessions which you can use privately, wherever is most convenient for you - wherever preferred. All scenarios can be explored to make sure you get the best out of sessions, whatever your circumstances and schedule.
You may phone or message Susi at Life Therapy Centre on 07496 864388 with your enquiry about our services. Susi can help you with all your questions before organising contact with your suitable chosen Therapist.
After a brief phone or messaging conversation about your requirements, you may book a confidential free initial phone consultation at a suitable time for you. A session can then be booked as quickly as you require within a day or two, subject to availability.
Of course, this happens, and sessions can be rearranged with no charge with a notice period of 48hrs, otherwise, the full session fee is usually chargeable.
Fees may be paid in Cash at your session, Card Payment or Bank Transfer - please check with your personal Therapist for their own arrangements, terms and conditions.
Healthcare Providers & Employee Assistance Programmes - You may be able to get your counselling sessions paid if you have Healthcare Insurance depending on your policy conditions - please check with your insurer first for guidance.
You are under no obligation to continue sessions at any stage, however, it is recommended to discuss and prepare towards an ending session to maximise the benefits of therapy and ensure ethical and safe practice in the work you and your therapist have explored together.
